Detailed black & white vintage village scene, from the Madam-Blanc Collection of Dutch Design Studio Sir Edward.

Founded in 2020 by Claire & Hans-Erik. They were fascinated by antique wall paintings & mural that can be found in old castles, colonial mansions & canal houses. The single continuous image offers a life-size luxurious art piece without being too intrusive. Sir Edward wants to bring back this type of art.

For your ease of shopping, we offer a range of standard landscape, portrait & square sizes, but also make custom sizes on request, for a small surcharge.

The standard sizes reflect the outside dimensions of the mounted canvas, floating frame or framed print:
- For Framed Prints, within those dimensions sits the frame, window mount, and print itself.
- For Mounted Canvas + Floating Frame, within those dimensions sits the frame, floating space and canvas itself.
i.e. the footprint on the wall will always be the size shown, whichever option you select.

Printing

We only list art & photography that can be printed up to 3m in size at 300dpi resolution.

On photographs taken a long time ago you may see some graininess, or the canvas texture in some artworks, but this is how the original looks and how it is meant to be reproduced - you never see pixelation in canvas or framed prints from Pixalot, whichever size you purchase.

The in-situ renders you see here are low resolution for website speed purposes, but you are welcome to request a section of the high resoltion image to see the detail you will see on your purchase.

We print on a colour calibrated Epson printer for picture-perfect results.

Framing

Because we also manufacture for top interior designers and luxury decor brands, we do not import cheap product from China, unlike other wall art suppliers.

We make-to-order in our studio in Cape Town, using the highest quality materials and most skilled local craftsmen. We use only the finest wood frames (black, white, ash wood) canvas, mounting card and glass available, and whereas most retailers use 25mm subframes, we stretch the canvas over 45mm subframes, which gives it gravitas on the wall.

All products come ready-to-hang with the necessary brackets, screws and wall plugs.

The framed images and mirrors can be cleaned with standard window cleaner for the glass and a damp cloth on the frames. Please don't use chemicals on the frames.

The canvases come with a protective matt varnish applied, and should also be cleaned only with a damp cloth, not chemicals.

For mainland UK, free delivery is 7-8 business days from order, or Priority Service in 5-6 business days, for £15 per order. For outlying areas, there may be a shipping surcharge, and delivery is expected to take 7-10 working days from order.

The morning after your order is dispatched, you will receive an email notification with the tracking link and direct contact details of our courier partner. We find it better if customers contact them directly for any special delivery instructions.

Please check your order on delivery. Should there be any damage, send it back with the courier and we will replace it immediately.

For your ease of shopping, we offer 7 standard landscape/portrait sizes, and 6 square sizes, of which all are available as ready-to-hang mounted canvas (with or without a floating frame) and all but the largest size are available as framed prints (behind glass).

For mounted canvas - outside those dimensions sits the 10mm space and 10mm floating frame (if chosen).

The manufacturing process is all done by hand, and to order, and takes us 4-5 days. You will then be notified after the courier collects the order. They then process it at their depot before sending it out to its final destination.

We offer a Standard Service where orders will reach you in 7-10 days and a Priority Service (R180 per order) where your order jumps the queue and reaches you in 5-7 days depending on your location.

Your dispatch notification will have the direct contact details of the courier should you wish to track your order in transit. We find it better if customers contact them directly for tracking & special delivery instructions.

Should your order arrive damaged, we will immediately replace it.

All our art & photography is available as wallpaper/mural up to any size.
